1. Introduction

Installation Notes

There are two ways to plug in the sensor:
1、Quick measurement method: Select a suitable measurement location, avoid stones, make sure that the steel needle will not touch hard objects such as stones, plan the topsoil according to the required measurement depth, and maintain the original tightness of the soil below. Hold the sensor body and insert it vertically into the soil. When inserting it, do not shake it back and forth, and make sure it is in close contact with the soil. In a small range of a measuring point, it is recommended to measure multiple times to obtain an average.
2、Buried measurement method: vertically dig a pit with a diameter of more than 20 cm, the depth is as required for the measurement, and then insert the sensor steel needle into the pit wall horizontally at a predetermined depth, and bury the pit and compact it to ensure close contact with the soil. After a period of stabilization, measurements and recordings can be made for days, months, or even longer.
This method is used for multi-layer soil moisture detection, and the humidity heads are arranged at a distance of 10cm to prevent mutual interference. Do not shake the sensor when inserting to prevent the sensor probe from being bent and damaging the steel needle.
